ProofUp collects information necessary to provide our AI-powered tenant screening service, including applicant-provided documents (pay stubs, bank statements, offer letters), government-issued IDs, live selfies, and — when authorized by the applicant — bank and payroll account data via Plaid.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information collected to verify applicant identity, analyze income and employment, detect document fraud, and deliver screening decisions to the property management company running the application.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell applicant data. Screening results are shared only with the property management company that initiated the screening. We use trusted subprocessors (Plaid, cloud hosting) under standard data protection agreements.

4. Data Security

Sensitive data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted to authorized personnel. We retain data only as long as necessary to deliver screening services and meet legal obligations.

5. Your Rights
